– Advised by an ophthalmologist that you are at risk of glaucoma
– Eligible for an NHS complex lens voucher
You also qualify if you receive any of the following benefits:

– Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
– Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
– Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
– Universal Credit (subject to meeting the criteria)
– You are named on a valid NHS HC2 certificate
What does an NHS eye test include?
An NHS sight test at Eyecare Blackburn is a thorough examination of both your vision and the health of your eyes. As part of your appointment we will:

Do I get help towards the cost of glasses?
If you qualify for an NHS sight test through certain benefits or because of a complex prescription, you may also receive an NHS optical voucher towards the cost of your glasses. The value of the voucher depends on the strength of your prescription.
