Eyecare Opticians is more than just a local opticians practice—it’s the result of decades of dedication, family values, and a deep-rooted passion for providing exceptional eye care.

Our journey began in 1982, when our mother qualified as an optician and began her career in London. In 1989, she relocated to Blackburn and spent the next two decades serving communities across the North West. In time, she and our father fulfilled a long-standing dream by purchasing their own practice in New Bank, Blackburn. As children, my sister and I often helped out at the practice during our school and university years, gaining firsthand insight into the importance of genuine patient care.

While I pursued a degree in civil engineering, my sister followed in our mother’s footsteps and graduated as an optometrist in 2013. After gaining valuable experience across the region as a locum, she continued working alongside our mum until a new opportunity arose.

In 2018, we took a leap of faith and acquired Eyecare Opticians in Cherry Tree, Blackburn—a practice with great potential but few patients at the time. Starting out was challenging, especially as we navigated the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic soon after. But through resilience, community support, and a shared vision, Eyecare began to grow.

Today, we are proud to be the only opticians serving the Cherry Tree and Feniscowles area. As a family-run, independent practice, we remain committed to offering expert eye care, warm service, and options for every need—from NHS treatments to luxury eyewear.
